Sanctity
October 29, 2009
This poem was nestled among several vulgar poems with Christian themes, but in a way-I think it describes my feelings:
Sanctity
To be a poet and not know the trade,
To be a lover and repel all women (men);
Twin ironies by which great saints are made,
The agonizing pincer-jaws of Heaven.
